NEW YORK, September 22, 2010SKRAPTACULAR! a grassroots recycling organization which works with New York City schoolchildren to creatively reduce and reuse waste materials, will have a larger-than- life presence at the FIRST annual World Maker Faire at the N.Y. Hall of Science in Flushing Meadow Queens.

September 25th and 26th.

SKRAPTACULAR! will be on hand educating Fair goers to rethink what they do with their waste. Northern Manhattan SKRAPTACULAR! crafty kids will take to the fairgrounds, encouraging and enticing World Maker Faire attendees how they can to do their part to make less garbage. A carnival of visual and performance arts, poetry and song will remind New Yorkers how to reduce, reuse, recycle and rethink how to save our environment and reduce waste while having fun.

SKRAPTACULAR! will take the NPR "Rock-it-Science Stage" on Saturday, September 25th at 4:30, followed by a SKRAPTACULAR! Parade, open to all.

Best Maker Faire clip



Skraptacular will have a larger than life presence at the FIRST annual World Maker Faire at the Queens Hall of Science in Flushing Meadow Queens September 25th and 26th.
Our main objective for being there will be to "make the Maker Faire garbage small". There will be Skraptacular groupies roving the faire grounds encouraging MF attendees to do their part. This will be achieved in a carnivalesque fashion through visual arts, performance arts , poetry and song.

Sat. 9/25 at 5 p.m. Skraptacular will take the NPR "Rock-it-Science Stage" followed by a Skraptacular Parade open to all.

Sunday 9/26 at 5 p.m. Skraptacular will join in the Bash the Trash Parade of musical instruments
